Nokia Networks announced that it has joined Open Compute Project (OCP) as a Gold member, and will work with the OCP Foundation to help drive greater efficiencies, flexibility, and scale in the data center with their AirFrame solution.
We're thrilled to see continued momentum in the OCP community and Nokia's new membership introduces a breakthrough layer of collaboration and innovation in data center technology. As a traditional infrastructure provider in the telecommunications industry, Nokia's expertise and technology will introduce new developments and opportunities for collaboration that will continue the progress we've all made in building more open and efficient infrastructure.
This announcement showcases OCP's growing momentum, just four years after it was founded — more than 200 members and thousands of participants are working together, in the open, to drive faster innovation in the industry.
Watch the video of Jason Taylor, president and chairman of the OCP Foundation board and VP of infrastructure at Facebook, discussing the importance of this news and welcoming Nokia to the OCP community.
