The early bird gets the worm! Registration for the Open Compute Project (OCP) U.S. Summit 2016 is now open with special early bird ticket pricing. The Summit will be held on March 9-10, 2016 at the San Jose Convention Center in San Jose, California.
This year's event will gather some of the industry's top leaders for two days. Day One will be dedicated to keynote presentations, and Day Two will focus solely on OCP Engineering Workshops. The Open Compute Project was founded four years ago, and with more than 200 members, we continue to see accelerated growth among the thousands of participants working together, in the open, to drive faster innovation in open hardware and software.
Based on popular demand, we're going to prioritize keynotes from industry leaders who emphasize new ideas, concepts, and challenges that haven't been discussed before. This year's attendees will again get the chance to hear from experts, attend technical workshops, and participate in hands-on work.
Engineering Workshops
The Engineering Workshops at the summit will play a pivotal role in the development of what our overarching goals will be for OCP projects in 2016. If you're interested in helping us shape what the future of open hardware looks like, we highly recommend you participate!
We're also aiming to host five U.S. Engineering Workshops outside of the summit in 2016, and the topics discussed during these sessions will help us determine the focus areas for upcoming workshops.
Continued OCP Contribution Growth and Momentum
We wouldn't be anywhere without our community—and the proof is in the specs! Contributions of open hardware are growing in both the OCP Networking and Server groups, and you can check out our current list of OCP projects here to see all the progress for yourself!
The full agenda can be accessed here, and is subject to change.
